Powder Grey workshops take a variety of forms. From upcycling and painting to flower arranging. We also invite you to join our Flower Club. Read more below.

Flower Club

We can customise and deliver your seasonal floral arrangements, loose stems, bouquets & wreaths to your business, shop, or private home. Exclusive annual membership offers to those who wish to receive 6 arrangements of different styles throughout the year. As part of Abbotsford House’s Christmas decor Powder Grey was commissioned to produce a number of kissing balls. They were constructed using high quality artificial foliage, from Powder Grey artificial flower and foliage range. The image above is an example of larger kissing balls produced. 

The brief was to produce 15 small and 6 large, in a rustic and naturalistic style. The benefit of using our service takes away decorating time from those who usually make them up when arranging the Christmas decor. The feedback from Abbotsford House was overwhelmingly positive: “everyone loves the ones you brought in”, and “cannot believe they are not real.” Mission accomplished!

Workshops

Frame & Furniture Painting

Our introductory frame / furniture painting workshops are a great opportunity to relax and have some creative fun whilst you learn how to upcycle your items. You will have access to the Pure & Original Classico paints/brushes/waxes/aprons that are available from Powder Grey and can practice in a friendly and relaxed environment.

At the start of the class, over a cuppa, we will discuss colours and the item you have brought with you to paint, therefore please bring your chosen frame, ie picture frame, mirror frame, wall photo frame etc; or, if participating in a furniture workshop, your chosen item for upcycling. We offer a 10% discount on painting kits, tools and materials purchased during any paint workshops. Refreshments and nibbles will be available throughout the workshop. Please contact us to book.

Workshop: Flower arrangement

Included in all our workshops we supply all the tools and equipment to create your luxury flower arrangement / wreath. We have a huge variety of foliage, berries and flowers, so that you can choose your own combination to create your unique arrangement.

We also provide tea, coffee & nibbles during workshops. To book onto our next workshop, please contact us. We can also provide details of private / party workshops.

Workshop: Junior Flower Workshops

We host occasional junior workshops, these include wreath making & flower arrangement. Annualy, in advance of Mother’s Day, we hold workshops for kids: giving them a fun filled afternoon learning about flowers and developing new skills in flower arranging. Surrounded by silk flowers and artificial foliage from they will be able to choose their favourite colours and varieties. They learn how to create a small beautiful floral bouquet finished off with a tied raffia bow and tissue paper to present to their mums on Mother’s Day.
